Calvert County Democratic Women's Club |
Annual Scholarship FundraiserThis year, from Giving Tuesday (12/3) through the end of the year, we ask members and friends to commemorate our Club's 90th Anniversary by donating to the Scholarship Fund. Our annual goal is $5,000, which funds one $1,250 scholarship at each of the four public high schools in Calvert County. Many of you have participated in our basket auctions in the past. This busy election year, we ask that you consider donating what you would have spent on the auction directly to the Scholarship Fund and save yourself some work! We appreciate any amount you can donate (and so do the scholarship recipients)! Thanks for your support. *** Please select the Scholarship Fund when making your donation *** |
Thank you for your generosity in supporting the Calvert County Democratic Women's Club!
Contributions or gifts to CCDWC are not tax deductible. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year.
Each year, the Scholarship Fund provides a scholarship to a graduating senior at each of Calvert County's four public high schools. In past years, the amount was $1,000 per school, but we increased the amount to $1,250 per school for 2022. These funds are raised by our club as well as other county Democratic organizations such as the Central Committee, Riverside Club, and the Democratic Club. The club's General Fund is used for club administrative expenses, including this web site, as well as supplies, training programs, and the like. The Billboard Fund is currently inactive. Members will vote on the use of remaining funds at a future meeting. |
