This is a Zoom class being held by our August meeting speaker, Ms. Priscilla Graves. It is a one-hour introductory class on a turnkey financial literacy program that can be taught to high school students, grades 8 through 12. The intended audience is high school teachers and adult volunteers.
This program is available in Calvert County through the University of Maryland Extension, where Ms. Graves is a Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Educator. She works with the Southern Maryland Cluster comprising Calvert, St. Mary's, and Charles counties.

Instructor Bio
Priscilla Graves has served in the role of a Family & Consumer Sciences educator for 27 years. She is a native of North Carolina and has served as a Family and Consumer Sciences Educator with the University of Florida Extension, North Carolina Extension, and Virginia Tech Extension meeting the needs of families in the area of financial literacy. She has also worked extensively with the public school system as an Family and Consumer Sciences educator and Special Populations Coordinator.
Priscilla’s role is to provide leadership in designing, teaching, implementing, and evaluating educational programs using research-based information to youth and adult audiences in financial literacy and wellness for families in Calvert County, Charles County and St. Mary's County. She earned her BS degree in Clothing, Textiles, and Fashion Merchandising and her MS degree in Agricultural Education from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. In her spare time she loves to watch scary movies, listen to smooth jazz, and baking.
