Congressman Steny Hoyer's Women's Equality Luncheon, an annual event, will be virtual again this year. The keynote speaker will be Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. You won't want to miss it!

"I'd like to invite you to join me for the 19th Annual Women's Equality Day Luncheon on Thursday, August 26. from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. I'm excited to announce that Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms will serve as this year's keynote speaker. She follows a great legacy of keynote speakers for this event. Mayor Bottoms was elected in November 2017 to serve as the 60th Mayor of the city of Atlanta. A leader on civil rights issues, Mayor Bottoms serves as the DNC Vice Chair of Civic Engagement and Voter Protection, where she has led efforts to protect the right to vote and increase voter registration throughout the country. Prior to becoming Mayor, she served in all three branches of government, including as a judge and a City Councilmember. Mayor Bottoms has built a strong record of advancing a progressive agenda focused on equity, affordable housing, and diversity and inclusion. In 2020, Mayor Bottoms played a critical role on the national stage in flipping Georgia blue. Mayor Bottoms is an active member of her community, and she is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Mayor Bottoms is a proven leader and a strong advocate for justice and equality. I look forward to welcoming her as the keynote speaker for the 19th Annual Women's Equality Day Luncheon.
