A lifelong educator, John B. King Jr. knows the power of public education firsthand and the important role educators play in creating a more just and prosperous state.

John has spent his entire career fighting for a more just and equitable future, from working as an educator himself to serving as the first Afro-Latino Secretary of Education under President Obama.

Now John is running for governor to deliver on his vision of a brighter, more equitable future for Maryland.
